Blog 004 – Anchorage at Sunset

We just had to share our first sunset at anchorage. Yep, we’ve finally left the dock! Ok, we haven’t gone far yet. We left Brunswick Landing Marina and went out to play in the channel for the day and to practice anchoring. Now we’re back anchored for the night across from the marina. This may seem strange but it made sense to us. We’ve never anchored overnight in Silhouette so we wanted to be close in case something should fail. If all goes well, as I’m sure it will J, we leave Brunswick tomorrow morning for Cumberland Island which is a good day’s sail south. But back to the sunset. As the sun goes down life out here slows down too. This is good because we are both exhausted. And very content and happy too. God is good. Goodnight.

  1. Love this. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Be glad you’re not in COS. Woke up to ANOTHER 3 inches of snow this morning and this after a foot on Saturday! You definitely have the right idea. 😉

    1. April in Colorado always seems to bring the biggest and wettest snows!

We are sitting at anchor right now in Cumberland Island with a slight breeze and probably mid-sixtys….not trying to make you jealous 🙂
